Introduction
For more than 100 years, this church has been a fixture in Duvall—an anchor for the community rather than just a building. Originally built in 1913, not long after the town was founded, its iconic steeple became a familiar part of the local landscape and a symbol of the generations who gathered there. In 2020, a devastating fire took that historic structure, leaving a profound loss felt throughout the community. Read more about the ACC Rebuild Story here.
The rebuilt landscape will introduce several new features designed to enhance community use and create a welcoming arrival. A natural playground made from organic materials will provide a safe, engaging play space. At the entry plaza, built-in seating and a fire feature will offer a comfortable gathering area for visitors.
Terraced rockeries will shape the site’s grade transitions and add visual interest, while new evergreen plantings will establish year-round privacy screening. These improvements will create a more functional, inviting outdoor space as construction progresses.
